The Moon Area Tigers closed out their 2024 campaign in commanding fashion, defeating Streetsboro High School 50-33 in the OHSBCA Shot Clock Shoot Out on Saturday.

Mike Santicola led the charge for the Tigers, delivering a stellar performance with 20 points and earning game MVP honors. Santicola’s sharpshooting and leadership on both ends of the court set the tone for Moon’s decisive victory.

Amir Turner and Carter Tumulty provided critical support, each contributing 10 points to round out a balanced offensive attack. The Tigers’ defensive intensity also proved too much for Streetsboro, as Moon stifled their opponent throughout the contest, keeping them to just 33 points.

The win capped off a successful road trip to Ohio, where the Tigers went 2-0 and extended their winning streak to four games. Now sitting at an impressive 8-2 on the season, Moon Area heads into the new year with momentum and confidence.

The Tigers return to WPIAL action on January 3rd, when they travel to take on Blackhawk in what promises to be an exciting matchup.
