Moon hockey clinches PIHL Varsity A Blue Division title

The Moon Tigers secured the Varsity A Blue Division title with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Butler on Tuesday, February 17th, at RMU Island Sports Center.
After falling behind early, Moon responded with a first-period goal from Logan Rieke to tie the game at 1-1. The Tigers then took the lead in the second period when Clayton Foster found the back of the net for what proved to be the game-winner.
Goaltender Carson Relyea was a difference-maker between the pipes, stopping 24 shots to preserve the win.
With the division title in hand, Moon now shifts its focus to the PIHL Class A playoffs, where the Tigers will look to carry their momentum into the postseason.
